5 THINGS YOU DON’T KNOW ABOUT BATMAN!

The first thing you probably didn’t know is that there is an official “Batman Day” , the second thing you didn’t know is that it’s today. So in order to celebrate this remarkable occasion here are 5 things you probably did not know about the dark crusader.

HE USED TO KILL CRIMINALS

Today, the Batman we are familiar with is strictly against taking a life, but that was not always the case, in the early days he didn’t seem to think twice about killing and was quick to snap your neck if he felt it was necessary. Now look at that, love does change people. Someone better notify the joker that this one’s a keeper, but then again I have a feeling he already knows!

HIS NET-WORTH

We all know Batman is rich, but how rich? According to Forbes his net-worth is an estimated $6.9 billion but that’s in the comics. In the Christopher Nolan movies he’s estimated to be worth $11.6 billion.

HE’S GOT HIS OWN COLLEGE COURSE

DSD

The University of Baltimore runs a course titled “The evolution of Batman”. I kid you not people actually sit in a lecture hall to learn about him. If I didn’t know any better I’d say that was awesome but lecture halls have a funny way of taking the fun out of everything.

HE’S GONE TOE TO TOE WITH DARKSEID

In Batman and Robin Vol 2 #37 Batman armed with the Hell-bat engages Darkseid in battle. While on a mission to save Damien from Apokolips he encounters Darkseid. This encounter precipitates into an all out battle that see’s the dark knight barely snatching victory.

HE JUST TURNED 80

It has been 80 years since the character made his debut in Detective comics #1. 80 years of crime fighting and universe saving. 80 years of epic Bad-assery….80 years of the God damn BATMAN!
