Hey guys! Its 2020 and you know what that means? A whole new season of anime!! And what better way to begin the new year than with some new anime.

This year of 2020 has just started and is already proving to be better than last year as it seems to be packed full of incredible new anime shows, sequels and movies but unfortunately we can’t cover them all.

To keep things concise we’ve made a short list of the anime that you definitely cannot afford to miss this year

Oh Yes!! All Hail Roxy Sama for she has blessed us with this incredible piece of art. An isekai like no other which is based on a light novel of the same name. This show is bound to garner a lot of attention as it features a stellar cast as well as a unique story.

The official synopsis reads:

“Just when an unemployed thirty-four-year-old otaku reaches a dead end in life and decides that it’s time to turn over a new leaf—he gets run over by a truck and dies! Shockingly, he finds himself reborn into an infant’s body in a strange new world of swords and magic.

His new identity is Rudeus Grayrat, but he still retains the memories of his previous life. Follow Rudeus from infancy to adulthood, as he struggles to redeem himself in a wondrous yet dangerous world”

This work of art is to be brought to life by a new studio known as Studio Bind. With no prior works to their name, it was honestly quite a gamble but based on what we’ve seen from the released teaser, it appears to be in good hands as the studio has really outdid themselves with their stellar use of both traditional animation and CGI.

This series has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to be release later this year.

The second season of the Dr. Stone. We were blessed with season one last year and its immense popularity and following have gotten it renewed for a new season quite quickly.

Okay I’m not gonna discuss too much about this to avoid spoilers, but boy are we in for a ride when this comes out. All I can say is, you’re ten billion percent gonna be blown away when this gets out.

The sequel is expected to release some time this year.

Its finally 2020 and we’re still waiting impatiently for this movie. Though demon slayer’s second season is all but confirmed due to the popularity and praise it garnered following the release of the first season last year, we can do nothing but patiently wait for the emotional roller-coaster of a sequel that is this movie.

We finally get to see another Hashira aside from Giyu and Shinobu in a fight, and word is he’sactually a lot more powerful than both of them. Look forward to seeing the flame hashira show us just what it means to reach the highest rank in the demon Slayer Corps.

The movie is scheduled for a limited released later this year in Japan.

Yup, Slime sama is back and he’s looking cooler than ever. This season will dive deeper into thee politics of the world and based on what we’ve seen so far it appears we’ll fet to see a lot more of the late Shizu san, possibly her past and backstory.

Three years is a long time to wait, but at least its here now. The long awaited second season of this classic fantasy series has been announced with a spring release planned.

The teaser we got last year indicated that the sequel would be going down an even darker route than the first season, which is both worrying yet intriguing at the same time.

The sequel is expected to be released some time i April 2020.

Yes, yes we know we just got a season one last year but thankfully this show was renewed for a second season as fast it was. I don’t think we could’ve remained sane if this wasn’t continued but thankfully it was.

Following their escape from the orphanage that served as their “Home” the children find themselves in the unfamiliar place that is the forest. Will they survive? Are they truly safe from the demons? Is there another spy? We can’t wait to see what happens next.

The sequel is set to premiere some time in October 2020

All men forward!! The incredible historic military show is back and its better than ever. Adapting the Coalition Invasion arc of the manga, season three of kingdom seems to be coming back in full force as the previous two seasons were often criticized.

Director Kenichi Imaizumi will be spearheading the project at Studio Signpost, a subsidiary studio of Pierrot with Noboru Takagi (Golden Kamuy) as writer, Hisashi Abe(Berserk) as character designer.

Hiroyuki Sawano(Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins)and Kohta Yamamoto(The Seven Deadly Sins, Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga) are to compose the music for the series.

The synopsis for the previous seasons reads:

Shin and Hyou are war-orphans in the kingdom of Qin. They dream of proving themselves on the battlefield until the day Hyou is captured by a minister. The boy manages to escape and return to his village, but he is badly injured. Shin then meets a mysterious youth who bears an eerie resemblance to Hyou—a boy who will one day become emperor!

Well guys, it happened! it’s back! Though the first season of this show was produced by madhouse, the movie was produced by Studio 8bit and the cast of the movie are set to reprise their roles for the second season of the series.

Adapting the arc of the same name, this season is set to introduce fans to the character of “Lina” who was featured briefly in the 2017 movie. This is because chronologically, the movie takes place after the second season.

The sequel is expected to premiere in July of 2020

Of course this is on the list.  I mean this list wouldn’t be complete without the inclusion of Attack on titan’s final season. This is where it all ends.

It is known that there will be a time skip so we can’t wait to see all that’s happened since the end of the previous season, especially since we were treated to a short teaser that makes it seem like Eren has gone off somewhere.

This season is said to hold some of the biggest battles the series has ever seen, making us all the more impatient.
