Over the decades, anime production studios and mangaka themselves began to understand the needs and wants of their fan base. They also began to utilize said needs in making their shows massive hits. Most of us fell for the bait like fishes but it’s no problem.
By feeding the community with it’s “interests”, time and time again they’ve coaxed us into sacrificing and following through until we finally realized that the shows in general weren’t half bad.

An common instance is “Rascal does not dream of Bunny girl senpai”, where the title used in the anime literally described only one scene between Sakuta Azusagawa(main character) and Sakurajima Mai(best girl) in her infamous bunny suit which was never shown again for the remaining arcs of the story.
Normally the community would complain and make bad remarks about the show but it’s not the case for a show like this because the writer had a really good story going for him.
It was the perfect bait relying on fan-service, memes and social media. It’s never a bad thing to watch an anime because you fell for bait. I guess you could say it’s actually beneficial.
The current number of ongoing and classic anime has skyrocketed to the extent that one isn’t sure of what to watch and what not to. So my cultured men, why not just go with the flow.
If you end up regretting it, just make a meme to express your thoughts, get to know the people who liked it and move on to the next great thing.
