Storm is by far one of the most recognized and accomplished X-men. A powerhouse in her own right, she has earned her reputation as a competent and capable leader.
That said, I am sure she needs no introduction but here are five things you probably didn’t know about the queen of the skies!
SHE’S FAVORED BY THE GODDESS MA’AT

Storm’s white hair is not just for show… or maybe it is, whatever…the point is her hair color comes from a long line of African priestesses born with an affinity for magic.
This affinity for magic stems from the favor bestowed upon them by the Egyptian goddess of law and order Ma’at, who fun fact also happens to be the mother of Agamotto , yes that Agamotto as in the Dr Stranges’ eye of Agamotto Agamotto!
Anyway this gives her immense potential for magic but I think we can all agree she’s already overpowered as things stand!
SHE WAS QUEEN OF WAKANDA

After marrying T’challa Storm ruled along side her husband as queen. Even though many felt the match up was rushed and unearned, it was still quite disappointing when the events of AVX (Avengers V X-men) caused she and T’challa to divorce.
Since then the two seem to have reconciled but as one would imagine things are never that simple!
HER PARENTS DIED IN THE SUEZ CRISIS

Tragedy seems pretty common in the lives of supers and Storm is no exception.
During the conflict between Israel and Egypt in 1956 a bomber shot down during the conflict happened to drop on Storm’s childhood home, killing both her parents who unfortunately happened to be in the house.
The tragedy as one would imagine would forever alter the course of her life.
SHE’S A SKILLED PICK POCKET

Following the death of her parents Storm found herself taken in by a gang of street urchins.
She would be tutored in the art of thievery by the gang’s master and would prove to be quite gifted at it.
It was through this life of crime she would encounter one peculiar American tourist, the man who would eventually mentor her into becoming the heroine she was destined to be, Charles Xavier.
SHE’S A GODDESS….LITERALLY

In Black Panther Vol1 issue 172 when Sefako the twice risen god also known as the adversary threatened to destroy Wakanda and all of reality, Ororo would ascend to godhood, defeating the demonic entity while been fueled by the faith of all of Wakanda.
Whether she’s leading the X-men or protecting her people from malevolent cosmic entities, she stands firm, mistress of the elements and nemesis to all that is wrong. Warrior, queen, goddess!
