Okay if you’ve not caught up with the manga be warned, major spoilers incoming. So after so much sacrifice, pain and tears the demon slayers have finally triumphed, defeating Muzan and finally putting an end to the demon lord.

In spite of that Muzan, tenacious as ever refused to simply hand them their victory! In his final moments, realizing his defeat was inevitable he did the most despicable thing imaginable, he made Tanjiro Kamado a demon!

I personally was expecting Tanjiro might die, or at the very least kinda hoped for it … 😅😅  I can already hear the pitchforks … but before you send me to the guillotine let me explain, I felt it would add more weight to the story, allowing for us to invest more heavily in the story…. 🤔that sounded way better in my head!…Okay I’ll stop talking now!!!

Anyway Tanjiro actually becoming a demon was not something I envisioned but I imagine it is not anything permanent, for one thing we had Nezuko making her way to the battlefield, so I imagine she’s coming with some sort of demon cure!

That said, I’m really hoping he stay’s a demon a bit longer! I mean imagine that, Giyu and the gang having to inevitably kill him, I mean we already saw Inosuke basically offer himself up…oh Tanjiro, we’re so close, you’re my only friend, I can’t kill you!!! 😒😒😒 pfftt so much for lord of the boars…. But on the real I love Inosuke, he’s the absolute best! 

I’m just saying it would make for some pretty interesting storytelling, seeing Tanjiro pitted against his former allies, it is obvious he would be the greatest threat the corps had ever faced and I say that for so many reasons!….join my mail list to find out why I think so, as soon as the article comes out 😉, I know… I’m shameless 😂😂, doesn’t change the fact that you want to!😈😈 

So I think we can all agree that Tanjiro Kamado becoming a demon is really one of those major events out there in the history of the manga, let’s just hope it’s done right. This moment is indeed pivotal as it could change the story forever, sending it down a darker path, as if it wasn’t dark enough!
