Madara Uchiha is one of the most recognized names in all of anime and anyone who has even come across the character knows the recognition is well deserved. Madara proved to be a central character to the Naruto storyline.

MADARA LOVED INARIZUSHI

Madara’s favorite dish was Inarizushi or Inari Sushi …pick your fancy… a Japanese delicacy made of vinegared rice tucked into deep-fried Tofu pockets. Makes sense that he’ll be a fan of deep-fried delicacies with him spewing fire all over the place …. get it fire… like fireball jutsu, I’ll escort myself out 😀 …. anyway according to the databooks Madara absolutely loved these bad boys. Now I’m feeling for some Inarizushi.

MADARA HATED TOBIKO

Since we’ve spoken about the food Madara absolutely loved, now we will speak about the dishes he absolutely hated; Roe! Tobiko or Roe is another Japanese delicacy that is essentially the eggs(roe) of tropical flying fish. It is typically used to garnish sushi rolls and crab cakes. Apparently Madara did not like them, according to the databooks Tobiko was the food he hated.

HIS FAVORITE HOBBY WAS FALCONRY

So yes Madara Uchiha had a hobby. Apparently when he wasn’t plotting Konoha’s downfall or conjuring up plans for world peace he was engaged in falconry. Now falconry is basically just hunting using birds. Kind of like that Hun guy from the Mulan animated movie but unlike him who was using it for scouting and hunting armies the birds this time are used to hunt squirrels and other small animals.

Even his hobbies were badass.

MADARA IS A SAGITTARIUS

Madara’s birthday falls on the 24th of December making him a Saggitarius. Who would have guessed. Then again if he wasn’t a Leo, Taurus or Aries the only other possibility would have been the cool but fiery Sagittarius now wouldn’t it?

HIS NAME MEANS SPOTS OR SPECKLES

Madara’s name translates from Japanese as spots or Speckles. A rather curious translation if you ask me. Perhaps it was because he was spot on about a lot of things. So technically speaking Madara Uchiha translates as Speckle fan or spot fan. I think the intended connotation is the relationship between fan and a flame.

The Uchiha are a passionate bunch, always fanning their passions with their dedication and strong characters. Spots or speckles may refer to hot spots usually falling off embers. So in actuality his name may mean something along the lines of speckles from fanned embers.

MADARA SHARES A VOICE ACTOR WITH ASKELADD

Madara’s voice actor Naoyi Uchida has had an illustrious career. Apart from Madara he was also the voice behind Vinland Saga’s beloved Askeladd. It’s stunning how similar the two actually are. They were both powerhouses in their own right doing all they could to protect their people.

HIS INTENTIONS WERE PURE

Madara and his best friend Hashirama were similar in many ways. Like Hashirama he was one of the strongest Ninja of his generation, They both lost so much to war and they were the successors and eventual leaders of their clans. The similarities do not stop there, however.

Madara and Hashirama had very similar hearts. They both sought a peaceful world without bloodshed. A place where people and shinobi could live in peace and harmony. The only thing that differed was how they went about it.

MADARA HAS A WIFE AND DAUGHTER

Yes my friends shocking as it may seem Madara was married, not many people know this about him. His wife was Shirayuki Uchiha a kunoichi during the warring states era, well in actuality she’s a fanfic character developed by fans who really wanted to see him a happier man. Sorry I just had to. In all honesty I wish I saw the character a bit happier as well. Who can blame me?
