Khonshu’s fist and high priest. Moon Knight’s real name is Marc Spector, a former mercenary who was killed in the Egyptian desert and brought back by the Egyptian god Khonshu to be his fists upon the earth.

Moon knight has been part of superhero groups such as the West Coast Avengers, the Secret Avengers and Heroes for hire. Moon knight first appeared in May 1975 in an issue of a comic titled werewolf by night.

In his origins he was a former CIA operative and mercenary, this was quite the irony since he held rather conflicting beliefs about violence, much like Hank Pym.

Moon knight would go up against numerous villainous figures including Mephisto and his own brother who happened to kill his girlfriend Randall Spector a.k.a Shadow Knight.

HOW DID MOON KNIGHT GET HIS POWERS?

Moon Knight got his powers during a mission in the Egyptian desert where he was left for dead. He died at the feet of the Egyptian god Khonshu who then brought him back to life.

Khonshu did not just revive him but also brought him back with a varied array of supernatural powers.

WHAT ARE MOON KNIGHT’S POWERS?

As a former marine and mercenary MoonKnight is proficient in hand to hand combat and the use of firearms. He is also in peak physical condition allowing for impressive feats of strength and speed.

Moon Knight seems to be immortal as he has been revived by Khonshu on multiple occasions after his death. It is unclear whether this will remain in the event Khonshu selects a new champion but for the time being he seems unable to die, returning to life every time death seems to snatch him.

Aside from his immortality Khonshu reviving him seems to have endowed him with mental powers of some sort. He has proven to be highly resilient to telepathic attacks, even leaving certain telepaths catatonic after they invaded his mind.

Marc claims that his brain was reforged to be the weapon of a god and this happened because of him communicating brain to brain with the moon god Khonshu.

HOW STRONG IS MOON KNIGHT? AND WHAT ARE HIS WEAKNESSES?

Moon Knight has proven to be rather formidable, killing Mephisto and having even defeated the avengers before. Moon Knight is strongest under the light of the full moon, when according to the marvel comics wikia he can lift up to two tons.

Despite his strength a major weakness of his is his mental health as he has been stated to sustain immense brain damage from him becoming Khonshu’s avatar.

WHO IS PLAYING MOON KNIGHT IN THE DISNEY PLUS SHOW?

Oscar Issac will be starring as Marc Spector (Moon Knight) in the coming Disney plus show about the character. Oscar was the voice behind Poe Dameron in 2018’s Star Wars resistance. He also reprised the role in various star wars video games including 2015’s Disney infinite 3.0.

Oscar plays Leto Atreides in dune and reprises his Poe Dameron role in Star Wars : The rise of Skywalker, the last Jedi and the force awakens. Not bad to say the least.
